I’ve been so drawn into repentance lately. I had a dream a few weeks ago & in it I was walking through a church with a pastor, talking about Bible prophecy and what’s happening in the world, and he started sharing from his heart about what is most beneficial for the church at this time. ‘Repentance’, he said. I don’t recall anything he said from that point because in the dream I felt a sorrow rise up in my heart, and I walked away from him to pray.

I had a dream a few weeks ago & in it I was walking through a church with a pastor, talking about Bible prophecy and what’s happening in the world, and he started sharing from his heart about what is most beneficial for the church at this time. ‘Repentance’, he said. I don’t recall anything he said from that point because in the dream I felt a sorrow rise up in my heart, and I walked away from him to pray.
I just felt moved to say sorry to God, and to ask Him to cleanse me. I didn’t feel condemned, it was a kind of awareness in my heart of how unclean sin is, the darkness of it, and also of the pain it causes God. I could feel how it hurt Him. It didn’t overwhelm His love though, I didnt feel anger or hate or aggression from Him as I prayed. He was just there ready and willing to give me the cleansing shower that I felt like I wanted & needed in the blood of Christ & to relieve me of the burden of it.
Most days since I had that dream I’ve had the desire to spend time praying this way, just opening my heart I can feel this sorrow over my sin, so I allow it and just receive His loving cleansing. It feels good, refreshing, purifying. I have no idea if this is just a personal season He is leading me into or how long it will last. Sharing in case it means something for someone else.
